Gray Zone Warfare · Task Companion
Know every
objective.
Screen detection that finds your active task and surfaces everything you need — interactive maps, objective photos, item locations — without touching the game.
What it does
Built for operators.
Everything you need to push an objective, in a single overlay.

FAQ
Common questions.
Everything the GZW community asks before downloading a third-party tool.
Will Tasklo get me banned?
No. Tasklo is read-only — it screenshots your screen and reads the text. No injection, no memory access, no game file changes. Equivalent to Alt-Tabbing to a wiki. MADFINGER has taken no action against companion tools operating this way.
Does it touch game files or memory?
Zero. Tasklo has no awareness of the GZW process. It reads pixels on your screen — nothing else. No DLL injection, no memory reads, no file writes. Verify it yourself in the source code or the VirusTotal report.
How does screen detection work?
Tasklo scans a small region of your screen where GZW shows the active task name. OCR reads the name, looks it up in a local database, then surfaces map data and objective photos. Everything runs locally — nothing is sent anywhere.
What tasks are supported?
All three faction task trees — Crimson Shield, Mithras, and LRI — are included. The database updates with every Tasklo release to match GZW patches. Check patch notes for the latest additions.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. The full task database is bundled with the app and works completely offline. The only optional network call is an update check on launch — easily disabled. No data is collected or transmitted during use.
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no subscription, no locked features. The best way to support development is joining the Discord and leaving feedback on what to build next.
Where do I get help or report a bug?
Join the Discord and post in #tasklo-support or #bug-reports. Include your Windows version, GZW version, and steps to reproduce.
Still not sure?
Read the code, run the VirusTotal report, or ask in the Discord. We'd rather you verify than trust blindly.
